The COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

The COVID-19 Vaccination Programme is well underway across Bury. Our Practice is working in collaboration with other Bury Practices, Bury CCG and local authorities to deliver the vaccine to our patients in the coming weeks and months.

There are now four GP-led sites operational throughout the week and delivering the vaccine to patients across Bury; these are in Prestwich, Radcliffe, Bury Town Centre and Ramsbottom. Patients have the choice of choosing the site most appropriate for them, and there are appointments available on most days, depending on demand. Additionally, a Mass Vaccination Centre has now opened at the Etihad Tennis Centre; patients who have received a letter inviting them to book an appointment have the option to attend this site if it is more convenient for them.

If you wish to receive your vaccination at one of the local GP-led sites please do not contact the Practice – the Practice will contact you when your patient cohort becomes eligible to receive the vaccine at one of these sites.

We are following the JCVI guidance, which can be found here

Currently we are working through Cohorts 6 as per the JCVI guidance above.  This is for 16-64 year olds with underlying health conditions.  Cohorts 7, 8 and 9 will follow

Please take a look at the leaflets below for up-to-date information about the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme, including further information on the Mass Vaccination Centre and some frequently asked questions – we will update this information as regularly as we can.
